Ms. Strueber joined the Ireland Institute of Pittsburgh in 1989 as Associate Director of Personal and Professional Development.
Ms. Strueber has a broad range of experiences as an administrator, teacher, trainer, consultant, and supervisor. She brings entrepreneurial skills to the task of problem solving as well as finding creative means to conflict resolution. Joan has pioneered methods and programs that have received professional recognition on a state and national level.
As a British Council of Northern Ireland scholarship recipient for Youth Leadership, Joan traveled throughout Northern Ireland visiting youth programs. She has been a faculty member for the Ireland Institute of Pittsburgh teaching young adults personal growth and professional development in the Wider Horizons Program.
As Associate Director, Joan is responsible for the Personal and Professional Growth component of the Walsh Visa Program.
